BIO
Nicole Martino’s academic areas of specialty include structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures. Her research interests focus on the ability to understand the various stages of reinforced concrete bridge deck deterioration using electromagnetic, electrochemical, and mechanical nondestructive evaluation techniques, and has presented and published many papers in this topic area. The ultimate goal of her research is to develop a tool, user friendly to transportation agencies, that can immediately and accurately assess the internal composition of bridge decks.
