Dr Tanni Chaudhuri, is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in Rhode Island College. Dr Chaudhuri received her PhD in Sociology in Texas Women’s University, and has two Masters degrees in Film Studies and Journalism and Mass Communication. She came to the United States in 2001 and the pursuit of her academic career took her to different parts of the country. Her current research interest includes Crime and Deviance, Sociology of Media, Medical Sociology, Quantitative and Qualitative Methods.
