Dr. Carol Doehler is an occupational therapist with private practice experience caring for the elderly population both in the community and in their homes. In her current practice, she focuses on family and caregiver education both in the United States and internationally. Community-based practice is an integral focus of the Master’s of Occupational Therapy and Associate in Science degree for Occupational Therapy Assistants offered in her current role as department chair for these programs at NEIT allowing access to multiple medical and community-based environments in RI. In the summer, she is launching a new degree program focusing on assistive technology and health care leadership for professionals across all disciplines. Courses concentrate on knowledge and skill development working across the lifespan.
