Dr. Paul Mangino is a respiratory therapist who has clinical and educational experience with the geriatric population who have transitioned from acute care facilities to long-term care facilities and home care environments. His students and respiratory care program were nominated by the American Association for Respiratory Care regarding “Best Practices for Respiratory Care Advocacy.” Dr. Mangino and his students have lobbied and received co-sponsorship from members of Congress Jim Langevin and David Cicilline for HR 2619 the “Medicare Respiratory Therapist Access Act” and are currently lobbying for HR 5380 the “Medicare Telehealth Parity Act.” His research is extensive in the areas of Formative Assessment and adult teaching and learning.
