Kristina Brown is a Research and Policy Analyst at HousingWorks Rhode Island at Roger Williams University. HousingWorks RI is a research and communications organization that utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze how housing impacts several social issues including local economy, workforce, education, and health. Her work focuses on housing and healthcare policy. She is primarily a qualitative researcher with experience in mixed methods. Within healthcare, her expertise is in the Affordable Care Act, Rhode Island State Medicaid Plan, and the Reinventing Medicaid Act. She was the principal qualitative researcher on a recent year-long study of the Affordable Care Act and Housing conducted by HousingWorks RI at Roger Williams University. She co-authored and conducted the quantitative analysis for the 2016 Housing Fact Book, an annual publication from HousingWorks RI that presents statistics on housing indicators for each city and town in Rhode Island.
