Assistant Professor at Rhode Island College
Katherine Lacasse, Ph.D, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Rhode Island College. Her current research investigates how performing pro-environmental behaviors impacts people's political attitudes and policy support regarding environmental issues, as well as the role of emotional processes in risk perception. She is active in interdisciplinary collaborations researching climate change and energy technologies. She has designed surveys examining people’s opinions regarding renewable energy and energy efficiency for both government and non-profit organizations. She has also developed an Internship Program for psychology majors to help them gain applied, hands-on experience in different fields to prepare them for a career after graduation.
